  Prompt reply after contacting Checkatrade. Visited following morning and gave a very reasonable quote. Undertook the repair on same day, and tided up on completion. Joe is very friendly and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

  Conversion to combi boiler system

  My gravity system was making a lot of noise in the airing cupboard. Darley attended promptly following my contact with Checkatrade and after a detailed inspection suggested a conversion to a combi system. I was given alternatives to consider along with prices and pros and cons and a preliminary timetable. Work eventually started a little later than planned but was completed to my satisfaction. Dan kept me informed on progress, was clean and tidy and professional in every respect.

  Repair under guarantee to motor valve, cleaning out loft tanks, installing new hot water tank and its thermostat.

  Adam worked hard to resolve the problems I had with the central heating system. The valve was replaced under guarantee but that did not solve the whole problem. He carried out further tests to identify the cause, gave a quote to carry out that work and undertook it promptly. The system no works as it should.

  Detailed inspection carried out by camera from ground level before quote given. Work carried out from cherrypicker, avoiding need to gain access via scaffolding from neighbours garage. No heavy rainstorms yet to prove water leak has been cured, but no reason to doubt it.

  Design and specification for new shower room and supply of fittings.

  This contract did not include the installation work, but MBK Design Studio" provided" an installer with whom I entered a separate contract. The score for Tidiness is therefore that of the installer. Under quality I have rated the overall design and quality of the fitments specified. The only difficulty encountered was the late delivery of some parts which delayed the completion of the work.
