  Packing and Removals 100 Miles Away - Privelege to meet these guys

  Astonished at what a great team this is. Not only did they do a great job packing and moving everything, but helped us feel better when we were feeling a bit stressed at different points. Pretty amazing considering the hard work they were carrying at the time. Even more incredible given that they had not slept for two days, delivering emergency water through the night to the poor people in Kent who had no water. Real heroes. Not only did they do a brilliant job but they inspired us. Very glad to have met them: Baron, Chris, James and Tommy, thanks very much for making our move so much easier!!

  Remove old extractor fan and fit new one and bonus also fixed oven fitting

  Kitchen extractor fan had stopped working and needed replacing. Pete did a great job on this doing a brilliant custom job modifying the new unit we'd bought to adapt it to the slightly off centre fan outlet so that it would fit. Having done this in half the time allowed for he then managed to also fix the poorly fitted oven which Curry's had installed a couple of weeks earlier... and at no extra charge. Cheerful chat throughout. Fully recommended.

  boiler service and gas safety certificate

  Excellent thorough service. Checked several things previous engineers did not check, including the magnetic filter, which having not been emptied since the boiler was installed had a lot of stuff in it. Tip for improvement: would be better to have own large bowl and kitchen roll instead of needing to ask customer for it... and also to take away used kitchen roll. However these are very minor points, the service itself was excellent. Very pleased.

  Good communication beforehand, turned up on time. Got on with the work while I worked from home and was happy to fit around the meeting I had. Very polite and friendly, easy to get on with. Definitely recommend.

  Roof repair

  Excellent service - tidy and on time. Have used MPL twice now, once for sofits, facias and guttering and once for roof repair. Was very impressed with the no quibble guarantee when a small problem developed a few weeks after the work was done. The repair was carried out within the week and has been good ever since. Also very considerate of our valued neighbours. Looking back I think there are two MPLs on Checkatrade and I think I may have put the review down for the previous work on the other MPL by mistake. My apologies Mark, but thanks again for all the work. All the best.

  Toilet cistern was leaking a small amount of water after each flush

  Turned up on time and quickly diagnosed fault (not what I thought it was) and demonstrated the problem. Original plumber who fitted the toilet had used too small a fitting which had left it loose and wobbling when flushed, which had gradually worked its way to the point it was leaking. Russel had a correct sized replacement part in his van, which was fitted in minutes. Many thanks.

  New chimney liner, new chimney, tiling around fireplace and supply and fit of new multi-fuel burner (Saltfire ST-X5)

  We are very pleased with the installation. It's been in use for about a month now and is all working beautifully. The quality of the workmanship has had some serious testing as the new chimney has been through Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis and not moved an inch, despite being very tall. The winning thing for us was the use of a cherry picker to install the chimney, to avoid inconveniencing the neighbours with scafolding on their property. The price of the whole job was very competitive even Saltfire ST-X5 stove was supplied at a discount. Definitely recommend.
