Full Grade II listed Georgian sash window renovation

    Posted 06 October

I cannot recommend Sam more highly! He is hugely knowledgable & passionate about sash windows, even supplying a glossary of terms with his quote to explain carefully the intricacies of the work he carries out. The Grade II listed Georgian sash window he renovated for me was particularly delicate & rotten in places. He transformed it within a matter of a few days to the point that it is about as energy efficient as single glazed sash windows can be, especially with original 250 yr old glass panes! He’s an absolute delight to deal with too. Sam, you deserve much success in your venture!

Sam communicated very well and told me everything that he was doing and that would need to be done in future to keep the window in good condition.

    As good as new

    Posted 27 August

Sam is an artisan., who takes real pride in his work. My restored sash windows now look as good as new, if not better. All work involved and costs were explained clearly before he began. He worked with care, ensuring rooms were left weather proof overnight, and dust swept up.

Refurbishment of 3 Victorian sash windows

    Posted 04 July

Sam responded to my enquiry promptly, came for a site visit and then prepared a quote which showed the estimated costs but also highlighted costs which may vary once unseen problems surfaced. He clearly loves his job and takes pride in quality workmanship. I’m really impressed and delighted to see my old sash windows restored to the point they all open smoothly top and bottom, are draft free and have new and secure fixings. Highly recommend.

    Repair and restore sash windows

    Posted 25 June

We are extremely happy with the restoration work Sam did with our sash windows. With his care and precision he managed to restore our windows instead of having them completely replaced. His love for his craft showed in his workmanship.

Hello, my name's Sam.

I fix, restore, and preserve traditional windows with care and know-how.

I believe in honest work, fair prices, and making old windows work like new.

I can attend to stuck sashes, rattles, draughts, and decades of wear—without unnecessary replacements. Just a smooth, quiet glide and all the charm left intact.

Sometimes that means a careful repair, sometimes a well-matched replacement—but always with your home’s character front and center.

Your satisfaction is our priority, and we understand the importance of professionalism in every aspect of our service.

Whether you’re at home during the refurbishment or away, you can trust us to uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

From prompt communication to video updates of our progress, you can be sure that your windows are in safe hands.

We’re accustomed to working in occupied homes and can accommodate removal of curtain drapes if needed.

Our process includes protecting floors and sheeting furniture to ensure your space remains clean and protected during the refurbishment.
