  New roof tiles and guttering

  Paul provided me with a competitive quote and gave me a couple of dates that he could start the work. We agreed upon price and date and Paul showed up promptly. The work was carried out in an efficient manner and was always left tidy at the end of the day. Paul definitely knew his stuff and was able to re-work my guttering to avoid dampness to the property. New tiles look great.

  Velux top hung window 55cm x 98cm velux window

  Reluctance to provide written quote, when it came had vat added but was supposed to be sole trader with no vat added. Ignored quote for window and stated he had purchased costing £135 more, to proceed had to pay third deposit of £327.49 on October 4 2023, then email had gone on holiday back 16 October, then no date to install, mid November emailed with suggested forecast dry day to install, no reply, phoned and was to call back, no contact, merchant confirmed window had not been supplied. Cancelled project with Checkatrade as had no trust in company

  Arrived at the customers home address on 3 separate occasions and he was no where to be found, I called him on 5 occasions and left a message, eventually he got back to me and we arranged a date , he forfeited the date, he said he had to have a flu adjusted prior and would let me know, to no avail as he contacted Checkatrade first and said what he is implying now , I take great care in dealing with customers as it’s a priority as standard in work ethics, I wish him well and hope he can eventually have his window installed

  Repair and reinstate defective roof slates

  Paul gave a clear quote at initial visit. While he did not make the initially booked day/time, he kept me updated of changes in advance. There was extra chargeable work found during the job, Paul pointed it out and discussed with me before proceeding with it, so I was informed of the work being done and what I was paying for. So far the roof looks good and hasn’t leaked again.

  Paul kept in clear contact about arranging an appointment to come and see what work needed doing. Once he had been he was able to return the same day to carry out the required work, which was explained clearly and well.

  Paul was an excellent employee, he carried out said works as suggested, he went above and beyond in kindness in that he repaired and overhauled some roofing defects not in the quote, I am grateful to him for his professionalism and friendly approach and wish him well in future. I have kept his details and will be recommending him at any point I’m able to friends family alike, Thanks Paul. His prices where very compatible too .
