  Repaint two bed house and lay laminate flooring

  Jay was great. Work carried out to a high standard, left the house tidy and communicated well throughout on any issues arising. Flooring wasn't part of the initial work and something I was initially expecting to go out to a different trade on but given Jay had done such a nice job on the painting I offered it to him and he did a great job on that too.

  Amazing work and very flexible

  Absolutely amazing! Was so friendly and also very flexible, great if you have a busy house. We had all hallways and landings done and it looks amazing. Would absolutely recommend to every on!

  Terrible.

  Awful experience. He left the job unfinished after realising it would take a lot more time (and money) than he said it would. (Still charged me 2/3 the original amount.) The worst thing is that he put masking tape on the walls, and when I took it off, all the paint came off in huge stripes in two rooms. I so wish I hadn't hired him.

  I do think it’s a slight embellishment to what happened. You asked me to see what I could do in half a day. About 3 and half hours in we discussed this would take more time and more paint stripper. Although you were happy with what was done in that time, you wanted to continue yourself. I suggested just paying 2 hours plus materials. You paid 2 hours and no materials. The tape was a Masq low tack masking tape and shouldn’t cause paint to peel. I asked to remove the tape when leaving but you insisted you’d do that. I assume the tape was stuck on for too long as you messaged me two day’s later

  Painting of living room and hallway including lots of doors and woodwork all nicely done. Especially appreciate the prep and filling of various damaged bits of wall and dealing with heavy nicotine staining. All looks good as new now. Thanks!

  Decorating hall

  Jay decorated our hall, stairs and landing. Jay was great to work with; he worked hard, offered advice and was extremely tolerant when we changed our minds about some aspects of the work. Jay regularly consulted with us and checked that we were happy with the work. We particularly appreciated how flexible Jay was in terms of doing other small jobs (in addition to the decorating) that we are unable to do ourselves. We would be very happy for Jay to do more work on our house. Thank you.
