Awful experience. He left the job unfinished after realising it would take a lot more time (and money) than he said it would. (Still charged me 2/3 the original amount.) The worst thing is that he put masking tape on the walls, and when I took it off, all the paint came off in huge stripes in two rooms. I so wish I hadn't hired him.

I do think it’s a slight embellishment to what happened. You asked me to see what I could do in half a day. About 3 and half hours in we discussed this would take more time and more paint stripper. Although you were happy with what was done in that time, you wanted to continue yourself. I suggested just paying 2 hours plus materials. You paid 2 hours and no materials.
The tape was a Masq low tack masking tape and shouldn’t cause paint to peel. I asked to remove the tape when leaving but you insisted you’d do that. I assume the tape was stuck on for too long as you messaged me two day’s later
