  Perfect repair.

  Alpha Appliances contacted me quickly and offered an attractive fixed price + parts. The appointment was booked and they contacted me before the booking to ask if I wanted to move it earlier as they'd had a cancellation. On the day, I was kept informed of their arrival and Richard was professional, friendly and fixed the problem in less than an hour with no parts required. A task that I was dreading was resolved more cheaply and more quickly than I expected.

  Inconsistent heat to radiators

  My radiators were not heating up consistently when the boiler came on. Mehari investigated thoroughly and identified that the expansion vessel had failed. He had a spare in the van and replaced it quickly. He also gave my boiler a mini-service and highlighted a couple of points I should be watching out for.

  Boiler providing inconsistent heat to radiators

  I had an issue in that radiators were heating up inconsistently. Chris from Plumb London came round and told me that my boiler was at end-of-life, and that a Powerflush (at £1500) might fix it, but more likely I needed a new boiler. I wasn't happy with that assessment, as I felt that it had been reached without any investigation, so I called a second plumber the following day, who spotted that the expansion vessel in the boiler was faulty, and supplied a new one. He cost me £300, and I have heat everywhere again. The £120 paid to Plumb London for the callout was a waste of money.
