  Redid our entire bathroom to a very high standard - highly recommended

  Tom is wonderfully good at what he does - and he does a lot! He's replaced an entire en suite bathroom which had a really bad mould issue, due to being incorrectly installed in the first place. He fitted proper shower-proof plasterboard, damp-proof membrane, new tray, shower, then tiled it beautifully, before putting back the shower screen, replaced the (water damaged skirting) with tiles, finally repainting everything. He then went on to skim the walls on the floor below (which had been water-damaged), used an oil-based paint to stop the water coming back, and then painted over the top. Ace!

  Damp survey after recent building work

  AJ's attention to detail and his passion for the subject really shone through. His company provided an extremely detailed and holistic report - even going so far as to take photographs via drone as the integrity of the capstones wasn't visible from anywhere other than above. AJ didn't just focus on the job we brought him in for - he provided advice on all other areas of concern at the property. Absolutely value for money and I would highly recommend his services to anyone with any concerns about damp.

  Repair a short which kept tripping the consumer unit

  Alex was very professional and thorough - when he initially arrived the tripping wasn't happening, but he tested all the wires and eventually determined it was a water leak under the floorboards which was causing the lighting circuit to trip so he replaced the junction box for a waterproof one. Very grateful and impressed!

  Retile the floor. Replace the bath and the window.

  Tom was fantastic, a real grafter! He just cracked on with the job, took out all the old tiles which revealed extensive water damage so he then replaced the joists underneath. He then did a terrific job on the tiling, including replacing some wall tiles that had got small cracks in. The bath panels we'd ordered didn't quite fit so he had a job to do to get them to fit (thank you thank you!). All his work was finished to a really high standard and he took away the rubbish too! He also very kindly fitted a new kitchen tap for us (as he said it wouldn't take long). Definitely recommended.

  Repair a gas cooker

  Idris tried really hard to repair our cooker, visited twice with various spare parts, but sadly it was too old and the part he really needed is unavailable :-( He did manage to get the rest of the cooker going so it's only the main oven which isn't working but I think after 18 years we need to invest in a new machine. I can recommend Vertex though; they really went the extra distance.
