  Replacing a rotten bottom sash window frame with a made to measure glazed replacement

  Very impressed with Mike and MGS Joinery. I contacted him on a bank holiday Monday about a job that ideally needed to be completed by the following Saturday as a new tenant was moving in. Mike came back to me promptly, arranged to measure up the next morning and then returned early on the Saturday morning and swiftly fitted the new frame. I did not expect this job to be able to be completed in the timeframe but Mike managed it and I am very satisfied with the result, as is my new tenant! I have no hesitation in recommending MGS Joinery and intend to use them again in the future.

  Big Heart Tree Care have done a number of jobs for me over the last 18 months. Starting with tending to our various fruit trees early in 2015, rotovating our 1/3 of an acre garden and laying a new lawn, carrying out the work to a walnut tree over a busy road as recommended by a surveyor, as well as many other smaller jobs. Jonathan is great to work with, really does have a big heart and charges a very reasonable rate. I have no hesitation in recommending this firm.

  Pruning high trees and hedges, mowing, weeding, general garden tidy

  I originally asked Jonathan to advise on a few trees in our garden that needed some TLC. He was knowledgeable and helpful in his advice and I decided that as well as asking him to tend to the various trees I would get him to give our garden a good spring clean. He and a colleague spent two full days of hard work on this and transformed our garden from being slightly sad, overgrown and untidy to being a garden that visitors have commented on very favourably. I am really happy with his work and happy to recommend Big Heart.

  Advice on condition own hedges and trees.

  I contacted Jonathan for some initial advice concerning our hedges which one of our neighbours wished us to reduce in height. I wanted to establish if this was reasonable and generally what we should or should not do in relation to the hedges. Jonathan was punctual, helpful and very knowledgeable and I felt we could trust his judgement. We also have a number of fruit trees which need attention and I will have no hesitation using Jonathan for both our hedges and the fruit trees when the time comes. A pleasure to work with.
