  Doorstep cold call - paid £42,300 for substandard, overpriced and unnecessary works

  Cold called door to door. A £300 guttering quote escalated to £65,800. We paid £42,300 before cancelling within the cooling off period 14 days. And independent RICS Expert Witness found the works "not completed nor executed to a satisfactory standard," and the quotes "unreasonable" against industry benchmarks. "I did not see any evidence of any brickwork repair during my inspection". Damp proofing: "The holes are not level, nor consistently spaced.. . this would not have resolved the evidence damp ingress." We have paid for works that have not been delivered.

  They turned up promptly on the day they said work would commence and on time …. Which is a must for me so thank you. The team was very polite and approachable answering any questions I had. Work was carried out cleanly and efficiently and all rubbish was taken away. I would definitely recommend and re use this firm again thank u Dan and ed 👍
