I contacted Phil for a pebbledash repair on the front of my 1930s house. From the get go, Phil’s replies were super quick and comprehensive. Phil attended my property punctually on the agreed day for him to look at the job. During the site visit, Phil took the time to listen to exactly what I needed, and came up with several options. Phil’s approach is pragmatic and honest; he was happy to recommend a small repair rather than a complete re-render, and he managed my expectations in a realistic way. The job was done to a high standard by Shaun, and I couldn’t have got a better finish.

Phil did a great job with our rendering and external painting. He seamlessly coordinated the work and communicated very effectively. He identified any problems in advance and came up with solutions. Nothing was too much trouble (even talking to our neighbours about their concerns). I have no hesitation in recommending Phil, thoroughly professional job from start to finish and a really nice guy to deal with too.

Very good experience with Sovereign Surfaces. Great communication, professional staff, kept the place very neat and tidy and done in less time than originally planned.

Remastering of the whole of downstairs of the property including plaster boarding and skimming between eaves beams which was very complicated. Completed on time, with high level of skill and precision. Phil was easy to communicate with and go through requirements and oversaw the work really well.

Good: 1. Phil and his team knew what they were doing and worked hard to get it done 2. I thought the quote was very reasonable 3. Communication was very good, Phil replied within minutes when I left him a message one evening Bad: 1. Phil estimated 5 or 6 days, then 5 after a couple of days' work, but 6 would have been better. Plastering a bit rushed at the end. 2. They removed the worst of the rubbish and did some cleaning, however I had to do a few hours myself afterwards. Overall I thought they worked hard to get a difficult job done within a short amount of time.
