10 Replaster kitchen walls and ceiling

SST did an amazing job on my kitchen walls and ceiling in very short time, in preparation for upgrading the kitchen units. The old walls were patchy and uneven before we removed the old tiles and the Artexed ceiling was looking tired and cracked with a clumsy repair up where a pendant light fitting had been replaced with a tube light earlier. Now the walls are flat and true and the ceiling looks neat and tidy ready for redecorating. No more Artex, no more uneven joints and ceiling cracks, and no odd bit where a ceiling rose was replaced. Mark came to our property to advise on a damp wall, and he was incredibly helpful, clear and generous with his time. Contacted Mark regarding a problem with water ingress on the ground floor of a property I own. He came back quickly and we arranged a mutually agreeable date to visit the property a few days later. He arrived bang on time and quickly came up with a possible solution which involved fitting an outside drain and tanking the inside of the building in a localised area. A fair quote arrived within a day which I accepted and the work was carried out the following week over two days. The standard of Mark's work was excellent as was his timekeeping and tidiness. Here at Southern Specialist Treatments, we are family run and owned. This helps us keep a close relationship with our customers and work with them to find the most suitable damp control and timber preservation solutions.
Our approach starts with a survey undertaken by either Mark Stoner or Nicholas Stoner, this allows us to discover and identify the current problem you are experiencing. (We can also diagnose issues you are experiencing by providing us with photos).
One of the issues we commonly find are other damp and remedial companies trying to make customers problems fit their range of solutions, unfortunately this approach often results in unnecessary remedial treatments and continued problems.
We offer our customers more than just standardize damp-proofing and timber treatment, for example we like to keep buildings as they should be and we are heritage lime plastering experts, modern gypsum plasters are one of the main causes of damp in older properties.
