  The Smiley Carpentry team have worked on our house over the past year. Phase one involved fully gutting and redecoration of the upper floors including new skylights, stair renovation, upgrading of heating and water, new insulation and electrics. Gavin and Emily co-ordinated all the relevant trades brilliantly and approached everything with a can-do and pleasant approach. As expected, the odd thing didn’t go to plan but there was always a practical and common sense solution found. We then moved onto a new extension build and Smily Carpentry did a great job again. Thank you!

  Kitchen/Dining renovation and new roof

  We have employed Smiley Carpentry on two separate occasions, one for a kitchen/dining room renovation in 2023 and recently for a new roof in 2025. The kitchen/dining room came in on time and to the quote. We also had some bespoke carpentry done. This included a bench seat and bookshelf/cabinet. The roof was completed recently, only delayed by one week due to the storms. We found all of the employees of Smiley Carpentry to be friendly and helpful. We would whole heartedly recommend Gavin and his team.

  Complete Kitchen Renovation

  Gavin and his team did a really good job. They kept us informed of progress every step of the way. The kitchen is lovely and the finish is great it’s the small things which matter. The painting & tiling is everything I ask for. Really pleased with the kitchen it will make a big difference to my life.

  Kitchen fitting

  The work carries out was to an excellent standard. The company were friendly, professional and communicative. All costs were clear before the work started and any unclear aspects were communicated and agreed before starting work. The area was tidied and cleaned each night and they were respectful of our house. I could not recommend a company more and will use them for any future work.

  Complete kitchen renovation units, island, new flooring and bifold doors into the garden

  From the beginning of the build Gavin and his team shared the plans and talked me through the process along with timings for completion. They were flexible, extremely tidy and always on time arranging all different tradesmen to fit in with my working hours Even with extra work that I added in half way through the build the whole process was excellent and I will be definitely be using the firm again for any future work. I am delighted with my kitchen. Thank you Smiley Carpentry

  replace garden and shed doors

  They were prompt, came to see what was needed. and their price was very reasonable. The young carpenter, Harris, was very polite and tidy and helpful.
