Smiley Carpentry did major structural work on my house, including multiple steels installation, upto 6m wide. Reliable, friendly, and skilled, they were great from start to finish. The team were friendly and the work was completed to a good standard. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

We’re really happy with the completed garage conversion. The work was finished on time and disruption was kept to a minimum — they made sure we could still access appliances like the washing machine whenever needed. Communication was very good throughout, keeping us informed about progress and when other contractors would be on site. Everyone involved was friendly, professional, and did a great job. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Garage Conversion – We’re So Happy! We recently had our garage converted and honestly, what an amazing job the lads did! They took it right back to the bare brick and built it all back up again beautifully. The attention to detail throughout was spot on, and the quality of the work really shows. They had everything finished within six weeks, which was brilliant. From the painting, electrics, and plumbing to the top-notch work by the chippies – everything was done to such a high standard. We’re absolutely over the moon with how it’s turned out!! 100% would recommend!!!

The Smiley Carpentry team have worked on our house over the past year. Phase one involved fully gutting and redecoration of the upper floors including new skylights, stair renovation, upgrading of heating and water, new insulation and electrics. Gavin and Emily co-ordinated all the relevant trades brilliantly and approached everything with a can-do and pleasant approach. As expected, the odd thing didn’t go to plan but there was always a practical and common sense solution found. We then moved onto a new extension build and Smily Carpentry did a great job again. We have employed Smiley Carpentry on two separate occasions, one for a kitchen/dining room renovation in 2023 and recently for a new roof in 2025. The kitchen/dining room came in on time and to the quote. We also had some bespoke carpentry done. This included a bench seat and bookshelf/cabinet. The roof was completed recently, only delayed by one week due to the storms. We found all of the employees of Smiley Carpentry to be friendly and helpful. We would whole heartedly recommend Gavin and his team.
