  MULTIPLE CONCERNS – Checkatrade unable to resolve

  This firm more than doubled their estimate of costs for repair of a flat roof 16 feet by 4 feet to £4500 stating complex work was needed to replace all the roof timbers. They then did a simpler repair replacing decking but leaving roof timbers untouched and claimed the job was as agreed. Our contract says differently and as Checkatrade could not gain a resolution we are pursuing them through Trading Standards. Their given address is un-numbered and their legal address is a withheld ‘Virtual Business Address’ obtainable from Citizen’s Advice. They appear unlocatable at Companies House. BEWARE.

  Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed to read your comments, as we always aim to be clear and transparent in both our quotations and the scope of works agreed. To clarify, the original contract and written agreement did not include replacement of the structural beams. Our estimate referenced the potential need for additional work only if defects were discovered once the roof was opened up — which is standard practice with flat roof repairs.   Squirrel damage to roof and fascias

  We were very pleased with the work carried out . They explained to us about the damage which was far worse than we realised. They took photos and were very informative throughout. They cleared away all the mess and the team were very pleasant. Thank you very much.

  Gutter repair and clean
