  Some positives, but I can’t recommend

  Whilst the guys were pleasant enough, there were a number of significant issues that means I sadly cannot recommend Smart Choice, especially for tarmac work. Most of the path looks good and the price was competitive. However the main issue is that due to miscalculations and lack of attention to detail, the tarmac doesn't finish flush with the timber edging as requested. Instead it's about 30mm short of the timber edge, which not only makes it harder to mow at the edge, but it also now floods in heavy rain (see attached pics). Poor communication + rampant littering were also bugbears

  Thank you for the feedback. To clarify, the tarmac height issue wasn’t due to miscalculations but the strict deadline we were asked to meet—one extra day would have allowed us to finish it perfectly flush and this was discussed with yourself. You also received free extras including grading, double the gravel boards, and added drainage that wasn’t included but included to improve the job. We don’t recall any littering being mentioned. We offered to return, but were limited to dates and times that worked around your Airbnb guests. We’re glad you found the team pleasant and the price fair.

  Patio and sleeper retaining wall.

  We had Robert and his team do our driveway and patio. Robert was very involved with our project and spent a lot of time answering our questions, which his answers were very clear and made a lot of sense. He checked in daily to see if we were happy and explained the progress of each day. His team were very polite and professional and their attention to detail was superb. We are delighted with our patio and driveway. Would highly recommend this business for all landscapes and driveways! - Thank you again for putting our garden and driveway back to life.

  Robert and team installed a new block paved driveway - kept me up-to-date the whole way and Robert made sure we were happy through the process. The attention to detail was second to none. Great team. Great communication. Competitive price. Highly recommend.

  The team were very polite and professional during the entire engagement. They were more than willing to work with me on some rather specific requirements and went above-and-beyond in several instances. The new drive looks great and is extremely neat - thank you Robert and co.

  Driveway and Patio

  Robert was very good to work with, I live in the U.S but have a property rented out in the U.K which he helped us get up together with a new driveway and patio, his communication was very good and stuck to budget. his team were friendly and helpful and the attention to detail was excellent. they kept a clean site which was good also. Will be using them again on other properties in the future.
