  Didn't even bother to get back to me

  Went in for a quote as they had requested, which was an inconvience on its own as I had also provided the images they had requested. They then assured me they would send over a quote by the end of the day. No such quote turned up and the VDA assessor seemed very inexperienced and was trying to upsell me on alot of work I did not want.

  Firstly, we would like to apologise, estimates are usually completed within a day or 2 of you coming to the workshop. I have looked on our system and can see an estimate was generated on 4th April, which I believe is when you came in, if you could check your junk mail just to make sure it hasn’t ended up there. On returning to the office on Tuesday, I will look into this further. Secondly, we always try and provided a quote based on photo’s, unfortunately this isn’t always possible, hence bringing the car to us at the workshop. This is so we can provide a more accurate quote. Lastly, all the people that provide quotes are qualified car body technicians, they understand the work involved in repairing your car to the highest standard, which is what we expect. Again accept our apologies, we take your complaint wry seriously and as a small family run business always try to ensure customer satisfaction is upheld. I will be in touch on Tuesday, when I can look into this further.

  Dent, scratches and matte paintwork repair

  Absolutely first class service and work from Rob, Warren and team throughout. It was a tricky job due to the matte paintwork but the finished product is faultless, wouldn’t know it hadn’t just been driven off the forecourt for the first time. Couldn’t be happier with the result. Would recommend SMART Answers in a heartbeat. Personable, professional and a pleasure to do business with.

  Cracked bumper and small dent in boot lid on BMW 3 series. Was quoted £915 for both repairs by "Smart Answers" whereas BMW dealer quoted £3,500, partly because they insisted on replacing the entire bumper. Dropped car off on a Monday and picked up on the following Friday. (They provided a lift to Wokingham Station and subsequent pick up). Defy anyone to notice whether the bumper was repaired or replaced. Totally satisfied with end result.
