  Impressed with the dedication and hard work put in. Removed wet external wall insulation and installed new insulation to all sides of the house, replaced crumbling bricks and rendered, Reliable, punctual, lovely lads (Paul and Ja) who went above and beyond, a credit to this company.   Slate were one of five companies that we got quotes from, this was for two small blocks of flats that were showing damp inside many of the flats. their quote was the best - albeit by pennies - but when we met Carl Slate the penny dropped. As an association, we have to get a RAMS report done by any contractor, and these are always a hassle. But Carl was very much up to date with on-site safety, which is the first time that's happened! So he won the contract, and the work was excellent. Thorough and clean, and all the flats are reporting a massive improvement in damp. Job Done!

  Poor Service/Communications

  Wanted a quote on loft insulation. Had a couple emails asking lots of questions, which I answered and then nothing. Chased up and still no response - all a bit pointless. If you don’t want a simple job then say so.

We get many requests for insulation works and we ask for the details to be filled out correctly so we can help you. I can see you had issues with providing the relevant information and we had to politely ask for this a few times. After some rather blunt and rude returned emails from yourself followed by an angry phone call when you swore at my staff we decided it would best to ignore you as you seemed a very angry little man. I have taken this on board that it may not be the best way to deal with this situation so thank you. I would look into your bad attitude and anger issues as you may get better results when wanting companies to come round and make the time to provide a free estimate for you. All the best

  I used slate insulations to review my loft insulation and cavity wall insulation

  They were extremely helpful and quoted a very reasonable price. Their workman were excellent and very friendly. They managed to avoid some of the work quoted for and thus save cost which I was very impressed with. Would definitely recommend.
