  Window shutters

  We’re extremely pleased with our window shutters . My friend recommended shading places , after her installation. From start to finish the shutters , service and installation has been outstanding. Ted so very professional and helpful . Steve also extremely professional, tidy and knowledgeable. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Shading places , so lovely to have the personal service that very much lacks these days .

  Shutters Fitted to Front of Property

  We came across Shading Places via recommendation from several of our neighbours that had used Ted and Steve for supply and fitment of shutters. We can not recommend both Ted and Steve enough, from the point Ted came out to measure up and talk us through the product and installation, to the final survey and fitment carried out by Steve, who by the way is the tidiest tradesman we have ever had in our property. The shutters are a great quality, very sturdy compared to others that we had seen and are very reasonably priced. Thank you Ted and Steve, the shutters have transformed our home.

  DO NOT USE!

  Was very rude; I had to chase them to come back to me and when I asked if they could do Saturdays they said they could do Saturday mornings or evenings so I asked if they could do this Saturday evening only to be told "Saturday evening is not possible- I have a life !" despite them telling me in the same message chain that they could! Very rude and no apology when I pointed out that they had said themselves that they could do Saturday evenings. Thankfully I've now found someone to do the job who actually respects potential customers rather than driving them away!

  This is our first negative review in 10 years. I tried to accommodate the potential customer wishes - giving a range of costs rather than via the normal approach of a visit. Subsequently there was a misunderstanding about what was meant by my offer to visit, Saturdays and evenings. Prospect wanted a Saturday evening appointment - I dont normally work on a Saturday evening. I offered alternatives - an appointment at anytime during the working week, Saturday morning and two specific weekday evening appointments. I didn't get a response just the negative feedback. It can be challenging when potential customers prefer other communication ways or text messages as opposed to a phone conversation as comments or statements can be misinterpreted. From my perspective I was trying to accommodate this potential customers specific requirements. I apologise for any perceived rudeness - non was meant.

  Plantation shutters

  From the 1st appointment with Ted to the installation with Steve the service was outstanding, no pushy sales person and Ted came around with samples to show us. We had to put the installation off for a few weeks as we all had covid over christmas, no problem said steve call me when you are free. We are so pleased with our shutters had the whole house done and the price was really good. Steve was very polite and his work was clean and tidy a credit to the company. Will be recommending Shading Places to all my friends.

  Shutters in our lounge and hall way - top quality

  100 stars for Ted and his team. Shutters are beautiful, surveying to measure up the chap was lovely and so thorough. The shutters were fitted quickly, no mess and they truly look amazing. We will be recommending them and also getting more shutters in my house. Thanks guys

  Supply and Fit Wooden Shutters

  From initial contact we had finalised options and price a few days. Yes discussed all the options and pros / cons of each plus lead in times for bespoke shutters. Ordering was smooth and easy and shutters arrived before the estimated delivery date and in good time for Christmas. Fitting was quick and clean despite the custom sizing and frames and the end result is fantastic. Conservatory shutters fully fitted in a morning and the bedroom only took 30 mins. The difference they make to both rooms is amazing, price was well below other suppliers but 100% top quality. Cannot recommend them enough
