  Unprofessional and Unresponsive Service

  I hired Sandhya to carry out structural calculations and provide support during our renovation. She was responsive at the start, visited the property, and provided initial information. However, once construction began, she became unresponsive despite multiple attempts to contact her with builder queries. This meant we had to hire another engineer, leading to extra costs. Disappointing experience.

  Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you feel this way. The structural design and calculations were completed in accordance with the agreed scope and revised several times to accommodate your requested design changes, including comparisons with neighbouring properties and alternative steel sections. Every property has different spans and load paths, so designs cannot simply be copied. No technical queries were raised by your builder, and I would have been happy to respond to any Building Control or contractor queries during construction.

  Full Structural design

  Dont usually write reviews but came across Sandhya at SG Structural Engineering for a major refurb of my restaurant including structural works. Sandhya was great throughout very responsive and carried out a thorough survey and full structural design. The building is now up and the work has come out really solid. The detailing was excellent and made things much easier for my contractor. Would strongly recommend SG Structural Engineering for anyone needing structural engineering work.

  Review of SG Structural Engineering / Sandhya Mahadevan

  ​Sandhya Mahadevan carried out the structural engineering work at our property in north London. She was attentive, listening carefully to our requirements, produced designs speedily to our specification and saw the project through to completion, coordinating effectively with the contractor and steering it through planning controls at Haringey council. She always made herself available, responded to queries, even late into the evening, and acted promptly and decisively to revise plans where necessary. I would wholeheartedly recommend her for similar engineering projects.
