  Tidy, flexible, helpful advice. Highly recommended.

  Steve did a very tidy job to remove our chimney breast on the ground floor and dig out a poorly built porch to add in air bricks to get air circulation. He was very responsive and flexible before, during and after the job. Always arrived on time. Steve also listened to what we were after and provided helpful advice. Tidy, polite and a good sense of humour too. Highly recommended. We have another job lined up for Steve already.

  Opening up Living Room/Diner & rebuild of Understairs Storage

  Job to remove understairs cupboard, create new storage room, brick up doorway & knock through wall from lounge. Steve was clearly very experienced & knowledgeable, & interpreted well what we wanted done, unlike others who had quoted. His pricing was reasonable, only increasing due to extra work reinforcing the stairs as agreed. Standard of work was excellent & he was also able to recommend other reliable tradespeople to complete the job. He turned up as planned & communicated well before & throughout job. I would recommend Steve to others & have already booked in for future works.

  Under lounge joist repairs

  The repair was originally meant to be just one side of the fireplace, as the joists appeared to have some movement, as quoted. Lifted the floor, removed the rotten ends and replaced the bearer. The other side was then checked and found to have the same issues. Able to finish the first side and complete the repair on the second side the following day. Floor was re-instated as it was prior to the work, not easy being parquet, and left clean and tidy. Overall a good job.

  Damp proofed our property and secured floor beams

  We have used Steve before for other work on our property and called on him again to fix the damp issue we had. Once again I can’t fault his workmanship, and professionalism for detail, nothing is to much trouble for him. And once again we are so pleased with the final results. I would recommend Steve for any building work.

  Removal of chimney stack and install timber purlins

  We called on Steve to help us with surveyors report on our property concerning the removal of a chimney stack and to install purlins to support one side of the roof structure. Nothing was to much trouble for him, a very friendly and accommodating man. His work was excellent keeping me updated regularly with its progress. I would highly recommend Steve for you building requirements.
