  Charlie (Royal Roofing and Building Services) was the first roofing contractor to respond on Checkatrade. From the start, he responded quickly to messages and provided regular updates. The job turned out to be more complicated than I'd originally suggested because of the (obvious) presence of water damage elsewhere on our ceiling. Charlie, along with his colleague Gary, worked hard to complete the work in time. This was appreciated, given that they had another job to attend. They were cheerful, knowledgeable and professional.

  pitched roof repair

  Charlie and Gary, checked the roof and in the loft where water had been coming through after a storm. They removed tiles and the damaged felt underneath, replaced with new felt and batoning, repaired the mortar in the valley tiles, replaced the tiles after. very happy with the service they provided and well done Gary, up on the roof in such cold weather!

  replace old leaking flat roof

  Charlie came out at short notice to review a leaking flat roof. He discussed a few options from recoating/overlaying to full replacement. The communication was fantastic fron start to finish. Charlie managed to fit me in quickly following recent storms and was in constant communication throughout. Charlie, Gary and David stripped the old roof, replaced with new boards and EPDM promptly and cleared all of the waste/rubbish in a timely manner. I was kept updated with photos of their progress. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Prompt, efficent and a fantastic service. hHghly recommended.

  Very impressed with work completed!

  Great work completed by Charlie & Gary, initialling to repair/replace damage to facia boarding but also to replace and secure ridge tiles and repoint the chimney. Photos were taken to show us the extent of the damage both before and after the repairs had been made. Finally the guttering was cleared of moss and debris which had caused leaks and all was made good. We were kept advised of progress and timescales were met each time with payment only being required when each stage of the work was finished. Property was left clean & tidy. A first class service !

  repair damaged membrane + replace incorrect membrane under tiles

  Charlie quoted for job of repairing damaged membrane. Gary repaired roof. Both had spotted that membrane fitted when my chimney was removed was sagging and told me it was the wrong type (I checked Web and they were correct). Charlie quoted for additional job, Gary repaired roof, including removing old birds nests from under the tiles. A good team who know what they are doing.
