  Stair advice and repair

  I wanted to change an awkward layout in a section of my stairs. When Roots came to look at the job they said that my existing layout was actually the safest one and that I’d be wasting my money to change it - and also creating a trip hazard (I’m in my 70s). Peter from Roots did however spot that two stairs were broken and unsafe. He lifted the carpet and showed me the rotten treads and agreed to replace them urgently. He was honest, even though it meant turning down the higher value job, and did a great repair on my broken stairs. I’d definitely recommend and would use again.

  Refit of a tall cupboard

  Roots provide an incredible service - the attention to detail is fantastic, they are reliable and friendly, and we already have too many ideas for things we'd like them to help with in future! Peter and his team are absolute professionals and extremely skilled. I have no hesitation in recommending them to everyone.

  Remove partition wall to create open plan space.

  Delighted with the work carried out. Plasterers and electrics were managed by Peter which meant we had less trades to manage and ultimately less stress to deal with. The work was executed beautifully and the job left tidy, leaving us no room to complain. Highly recommend this company.

  Dining bench with storage

  So pleased with our new bench! Pete made great suggestions of extra details he could add (eg shaker moulding), advised us on the best material for use in a kitchen, and was always very punctual. The finished result is absolutely perfect and incredibly well made.
