We contacted Roots as we needed a new door hung to an existing frame. He came out promptly to asses the job and measure for the correct door size. I was very happy with his quote and agreed for the work to be carried out. I found his work to be of a very high standard especially due to the nature of the frame not being square or level. He arrived at the agreed time, carried out the work in a professional manor, and ensured that all the mess was cleared away, and left when we were happy with the fitting. We would highly recommend him and will use Roots again in the future.

We found ourselves in need of joiner/bathroom fitter after a floorboard gave way in our en-suite. We called Roots joinery as we had used them in the past. They came out promptly to inspect the damage. There was damage to joists, floors and walls. This needed to be fixed and a new bathroom installed. Roots were very accommodating of us and was patient whilst we made the necessary decisions. Invoices were very detailed and clear and all costs explained. Work was completed to a high standard and our home was protected whilst the works were carried out. Things were also left tidy afterwards.

I wanted to change an awkward layout in a section of my stairs. When Roots came to look at the job they said that my existing layout was actually the safest one and that I’d be wasting my money to change it - and also creating a trip hazard (I’m in my 70s). Peter from Roots did however spot that two stairs were broken and unsafe. He lifted the carpet and showed me the rotten treads and agreed to replace them urgently. He was honest, even though it meant turning down the higher value job, and did a great repair on my broken stairs. I’d definitely recommend and would use again.

Roots provide an incredible service - the attention to detail is fantastic, they are reliable and friendly, and we already have too many ideas for things we'd like them to help with in future!
