  Fantastic service

  I found Roland’s details online and gave him a call around 5pm. He was incredibly responsive, friendly, and professional both over the phone and in person. He managed to book me in for the very next afternoon, which I really appreciated. I had several kitchen jobs that needed fixing due to a previous poor service, and Roland truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was completed to a very high standard. I’ll definitely be using his services again and would happily recommend him to family and friends in the surrounding area.

  Poor Quality Workmanship

  Roland was available at very short notice (which is always a red flag)he istalled 5 doors. I was not impressed by the quality of his work. He was taking calls(quotes) from prospective customers, thus rushing through the work 1 door was cut too short at the bottom, the door knob was too close to the door frame. I asked politely if he can rectify the door knob but he refused making excuses that it was the locking catch that was too short. Another door had noticeable gaps at the top, due to having no door stop within the frame. I would have been happy for him put a door stop at an extra cost.

  This review is misleading and does not accurately reflect the work carried out. The scope, pricing, and time frame for fitting five doors were clearly agreed in advance. I was contacted at short notice after another tradesperson failed to attend, and I made time to fit the job in quickly as a favour to the client. The door handle issue mentioned was due to a short latch supplied by the client, not poor workmanship. One door frame had no door stops fitted, which was outside the agreed scope. No request was made on the day to install door stops. The work was completed as agreed Roland

  Fitting internal doors into existing frames

  Fitted 3 new doors into existing frames. This was communicated when sending for quote. Contractor communicated was good to start with. Fitted the doors whilst my wife was at home. 1 door catches at top, one fitted twisted and one hinge bound. I supplied doors with black ironmongery. Contractor missed majority of screws from hinges and used over sized silver screws of his own instead of black supplied. When I complained, I was told I was making a fuss over 4 screws and my wife was happy when he left. I asked him to to revisit to rectify and he refused, blaming I should have been present. AVOID!

  The agreed work was to fit new doors into existing frames. The frames are old and not square, and no work to alter or re-line them was agreed. All doors were fitted correctly and are fully operational. The screws supplied with the hinge packs were too short to securely fix into the existing frames, so suitable alternative screws were used to ensure a safe and proper fixing. No other screws were provided. No issues were raised at completion, and the customer’s wife confirmed she was happy when the work was finished.

  Soffit repair, fast and efficient

  Roland repaired the rear soffit for me, which had come loose. He was very reliable, keeping in touch with me regarding his arrival time. He arrived promptly, completed the task efficiently and was courteous, friendly abd professional throughout his time at my property. Thank you for putting my mind at ease.
