    Making all the interior doors HMO compliant

    I had a very large joinery job to complete that needed a skilled joiner who understood council Licencing regulations. I had been let down - and had been given misinformation by other trades. Nick not only did the job to an impeccable standard, but liaised with Edinburgh council fire regs and Licencing departments, and the tenants of the property, even the downstairs neighbour, to keep the job running smoothly. Even after being paid he returned to take the council inspection so that if anything wasn’t up to scratch (it was) he could fix it. Outstanding tradesperson who I will continue to use.

Hello, I’m Nick from Renaissance Joinery & Building.


I am a time-served joiner and carpenter with over 27 years’ experience in the building industry, covering all aspects of joinery, renovations, repairs and property maintenance.


Having spent many years involved in larger building and extension projects, I now focus on providing a personal and reliable service, maintaining good communication throughout every project and delivering quality workmanship with a hands-on approach.


I undertake a wide range of work including joinery, carpentry, renovations, restoration projects, property repairs and insurance-related works.


Much of my work involves helping homeowners put things right following leaks, damage and general wear and tear, as well as improving and maintaining their homes.
