10 Damp Proof and Dry Rot work
Posted 08 July
After the initial survey Ryan sent a detailed plan of what work was required. Due to the type and size of the job we had to move out for 2 weeks. Ryan sent daily videos of progress which showed the problems that we had and how they were going to be rectified. Ryan would also contact us if any additional work would be required due to findings once the work started. It was a pleasure to have such a knowledgeable and professional contractor and he also employed highly skilled sub contractors. Would not hesitate to recommend RB Plastering & Damp Proofing to do any damp work.Verified reviewerJob location: BB410 Damp Proof, Vent Fitting & Skimming service.

Job location: M20We hired Ryan based on his great reviews and first impression he made on us - and he didn't disappoint! A first-class service from start to finish. The main things to recommend about Ryan: - outstanding attention to detail - complete honesty and transparency with his advice - constant and clear communication about progress of the job, using whatsapp - high-quality work throughout (clearly very conscientious) - job was done quickly and consistently (i.e. didn't randomly go missing as some tradespeople have before!) - a really pleasant set of people to have in the house during the week.10 Installation of damp proof membrane & replastering

Ryan completed some damp proof work started by a national company. Their customer service is non existent & I looked elsewhere & found Ryan. My only regret is I wish I'd found him originally. Professional, efficient & friendly, obviously very knowledgeable in his field, we trusted him implicitly. It was a messy job but Ryan ensured we knew how to prepare for it including suggesting I took the dog out for the noisiest bit! He & his team cleared up totally taking away all of the rubbish. Job done in a day & a bit & guarantee issued. We wholeheartedly recommend RB Plastering & Damp Proofing.Verified reviewerJob location: M2210 Remove and treat dry rot and repair all wood floors and re plaster

Ryan is great! He will eventually be replastering my whole reno house whether he likes it or not 😀 We had damp issues in the kitchen which he solved and then boarded and skimmed for a tidy finish. He knows how to communicate to laypeople and explain in detail what the options for your project are and his recommendation, and the reasons behind his recommendations. He gives detailed video updates if you're not there for him to talk you through it at the end of each working day. And importantly his workmanship is outstanding - our walls are looking beautiful!Verified reviewerJob location: M2510 Damp in living room

I had severe damp in my living room, Ryan was recommended by my neighbour, I couldn't be more pleased with the work Ryan and his team had done, they arrived on time every day, Ryan explained everything that they were doing that day in detail and they cleaned up each day, leaving no mess, Ryan's damp proofing and plastering is excellent the walls are so smooth and neat. Thank you Ryan and his teamVerified reviewerJob location: M45

RB Plastering & Damp-proofing Ltd has over 20 years experience in the plastering and damp-proofing industry. I am a CSRT trained damp and timber surveyor and also a qualified damp-proofing technician completed through the PCA (PCAQT). I am qualified to NVQ level 3 in solid plastering and also NVQ level 2 in dry-lining (suspended ceilings and partition walls). The company is a Wykamol approved contractor. Aside from myself I have two full time employees who have both completed, and passed, damp and timber technician training through Wykamol. All rising damp treatment is offered with a 20 year contractor guarantee as standard and I am able to offer insurance backed guarantees through a company called CGS. I am a CITB registered employer.
Areas I specialise in but aren't limited to:
Dry rot
Wet rot
Rising damp
Penetration damp
I have the most up to date equipment available (including thermal imaging) to diagnose the causes and sources of any type of damp in any home. The testing we complete is thorough and in-depth but in my view essential to obtain all relevant information to determine what issues are happening within your home. An inspection will normally take around 60 - 90 minutes to complete and discuss with a customer (possibly longer if a sub-floor void inspection is necessary). A full written report will then be sent via e-mail advising of the findings and recommendations of remedial works if necessary.
