  Great service from start to finish

  Great service from start to finish. The initial video call made sure that we got the right sized van, and then on the day before when we became worried we had too much, Joe was extremely patient as we did another call to double check. Mark and Alfie were great at both ends, barely stopped all day and all with a smile on their face. Cold, rainy conditions but they made sure to keep the mess to a minimum.

  Awesome Moving Experience

  A quick response from Joe asking a couple of queztions about the move. A comprehensive and easy to understand quote provided. Names of movers provided in advance. Arrived on time and very friendly. As close to having a couple of mates help as possible. Loading and unloading very smooth, including shuffling things around to fit.

  Joe Purdy & Son House moves - fully recommended

  Joe's troops undertook my house move on 11 December 2025, and did an outstanding job. We didn't have much money to throw at this (so we did our own packing, for which Joe helped source the materials), and Joe's move quote was a little higher than another, but the service was truly excellent - the guys were really helpful, knowledgeable, flexible and hardworking - frankly I'd use them again now without bothering to research elsewhere, as there's no point - which is the best compliment I could pay.

  We had a long drawn out chain and our move date kept being altered and left hanging in the air on more than one occasion, Joe was the calm voice on the end of the phone, in a text, on WhatsApp. He never gave up hope and really helped us stay sane throughout our move. If you book Purdy & Sons you will have a great team behind you, maybe you’ll be lucky and you’ll have whole team. 5 wonderful hard working guys who made the day go smoothly and stress free.   Long distance move.

  Joe and his team recently moved us 140 miles, contact was always very friendly, price was good and the removal team were very helpful and patient, the lorry was packed beautifully and the whole experience was as stress free as a move can possibly be. Highly recommended, thanks Joe, Marc and Gary.
