  Landlord/Agents Avoid

  Warning to landlords/agents. Do NOT use Prokil Damp & Timber Specialists!! These unprofessionals will enter your home, and damage/break the tenants possessions. The office, doesn’t care and will blame the tenant. The lamp was noticed straight away. The candle, after they had broke it, they hid it so well, in hope it wouldn’t have been found, it was. Also, they used the house interior to wipe down their brushes!! Door and lamp, they are not too bothered about. The candle yes, this candle was used and lit every May in respect to the person they had lost 😞 AVOID!!!

  We’re sorry to hear about your concerns and would like to clarify a few points. We were not informed of any issues until five days after we had completed the work. Once contacted, we returned promptly and resolved the issue with the light, which had come loose due to a loose screw. Regarding the candle, this is the first time it has been mentioned, and we have no record or photographic evidence of it being present in the work area. We take detailed photos before, during, and after our work to document the site, and no such item appears in them. We fully understand the candle held sentimental value and are sorry to hear it was damaged. However, we cannot accept responsibility for items that are not brought to our attention or protected prior to works commencing. Our reports clearly state: “The client is responsible for ensuring that all personal items are removed from the designated work area. Any items that cannot be relocated should be appropriately covered to protect them” We always aim to treat every property with care and respect, and we’re sorry if you feel this wasn’t reflected in your experience.

  Damp Assessment of my house for sale.

  Rising damp on internal wall of house.

  Prokil came to the house promptly to look at our damp problem and gave us a quote. The price was lower than another estimate we had been given. We arranged for the job to be done not long after the quote. The Prokil professional arrived on time and worked efficiently and very tidily. I think our hallway looked cleaner at the end of the job than when we moved in 10 years ago! The finished work looks great and the rubbish was tidied away without trace. I was shown photos of the damp damage that he had found under the surface and he explained how it would be fixed.
