  £125 an hour for labour?

  Michael explained each part of the work needed, and gave a price for each part, which I agreed to. The work seems to have been completed to a good standard. It was only after the 3-man team had left that I reflected on how long the work had taken ( 2 1/2hrs) and how much I had been charged for labour (roughly £1000) that I began to question what I had been charged for what were standard roof repairs (replacing a tile, valley re-bedding, lead re-sealing and ridge re-pointing). I contacted Michael to say that £125 per person per hour seemed unreasonable, but he still felt the price was fair.

  Thank you for your feedback. The work was quoted and agreed as a fixed price, not on an hourly basis. The cost reflects the full service provided, including a skilled three-man team, all guaranteed materials, and associated costs such as diesel, transport, and equipment. The job was completed efficiently due to experience and preparation, not because it was overcharged. The agreed price covered all repairs to a professional standard, and we believe it was fair for the quality and guarantee provided.

  Michael was able to come out within a few days of us reporting the issue. He clearly explained the work that needed to be done on the roof to repair a leak. The quote was a little more than I had expected but the work was done efficiently and Michael kept me informed regularly on progress.

  Broken tile and leaking roof. Michael and his team quoted and did the repair on the same day.

  Telephoned on arrival, bang on the time stated. Inspected the damaged area to repair and gave a comprehensive answer to what was required. Cleaned up the mess afterwards all good.

  Initially requested assessment and repair of roof, as a leak had developed.

  The guys did a great job, responded very promptly to my request and were round within a couple of days. Repaired broken slates and conducted additional repairs which were identified such as repointing hip and flashing on an old roof. Throughout michael was very helpful, quoting each aspect of the job and talking through the various steps with me. I would highly recommend.
