  Replace electric valve in central heating.

  Once they contacted me they were efficient and corrected the problem quickly. Plumber was on site for less than 30 mins. I found the part they replaced online for less than £60. They charged me almost 3 times that, which I thought excessive.

  Boiler had lost electrical power following the system pressure dropping to zero.

  No HW or CH. I repressurised boiler but couldn't get it to fire up. Plum-IT owner and apprentice came out & said that the 2 port valve controller was faulty. I could not understand how this caused the condition. I asked for a written explanation, but none forthcoming. We were charged for parts and for 2 hours work - despite about 30 mins being taken to drive the apprentice back. I asked for my old controller to be returned. On inspection, the motor was fine, the microswitch functioned correctly, but the geared ring had been repositioned so it would never activate the microswitch.

  Many thanks for your review. We are disappointed that you have taken to social media to provide a negative review when this issue has been dealt with in correspondence between ourselves. As previously advised, all labour costs were agreed prior to our visit and the part which was replaced was in fact faulty. We have not been dishonest, have acted in a professional manner, and undertaken work which was required in order to resolve the issue you had with your heating and hot water

  Heating System

  Outstanding! We have had many local plumbers come and try to fix a noise in our central heating. Plum IT spent time really getting to know our system and fixed the issue after two years and many failed attempts from othwrs - thanks Plum It !!

  Extremely efficient, and the work was carried out to a very high standard. The engineers arrived at the appointed time and were very courteous. The back up from the main office is very good and I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone requiring plumbing and boiler work to a high standard.

  Boiler repair

  I cannot rate this company highly enough. Tom came to quote for a replacement boiler due to the number of times I'd had other engineers repair it over 3 years, and it still to be rather noisy, which was part of the fault. He wasn't happy with replacing it because the boiler he felt had years of life left in it. He took a look and was able to identify the fault. On his return visit, he completed the repairs and a service. It has never been so quiet. Tom put the customer first, rather than profit, and I will certainly be recommending them and getting my boiler service with them.
