Kevin quoted £4,000 to damp proof about 7 meters of lower ground floor walls in my property. He came, removed the plaster without protecting the premium wood hard floor we have, and making a lot of mess. He left me with walls that are not straight, to the point I cannot put back the same skirting boards, and he has broken over 10 sockets by removing them without any grace, losing the screws and various parts. I have now an over £500 electrician bill to pay. But of course Kevin is gone to do his damage somewhere else. Avoid him.Verified reviewerJob location: TW10Response from Plasterhawks
We did put dust sheets down, I have pictures to prove! The walls where already uneven in fact we straightened them up the best we could, we did not loose any screws to the sockets as we replaced them all on the last day expect for 1 which I pointed out to her before we left and they where working because we used our hoover to clear up The customer failed to mention it was 10m of damp proofing and we did not charge anymore.

Kevin did an amazing job sorting out a damp problem over a three day period having to remove all the plaster on part of the wall back to the brick in the dining room and putting a damp course on one of the lounge walls from outside, before Kevin left each day everything was cleared away and left tidy excellent service would highly recommend.Verified reviewerJob location: TW1510 Excellent job from a friendly and pleasant organisation

Kevin came over to sort out some wall dampness which did involve work outside and inside. He did a wonderful job- plastered wall inside looks just great. As he was working on the wall where the dampness was a little section of the wall nearby came away. No problem and no issue, this was also rectified. A very neat and tidy job and all debris & rubbish was taken away. I would 100% recommend Plasterhawks...Verified reviewerJob location: KT8

We specialise in the following areas:
- Damp Proofing - Solutions to fit all Damp issues. Rising Damp and Penetrating Damp.
- Condensation - Consulting service giving advice to reduce condensation
- Mould - Consulting and specialist cleaning service
Rising Damp - Chemical Damp proof course (DPC)
Rising damp is when moisture is absorbed from the ground into the walls, by capillary action through the pores of the masonry seeking a means of evaporation.
All new houses are built with a Damp proof course (DPC) which forms a barrier against the moisture rising.
Older houses
however may have been built without a DPC or over a period of time may have become defective.
A new DPC can be installed creating that barrier against moisture.
Penetrating Damp
Penetrating damp is when rainwater is penetrating through brickwork, this can happen if the mortar in the brickwork has become brittle and loose or the bricks themselves have become very porous over time, defective guttering etc.
A water repellent coating can be applied, this will allow the bricks to still breathe and repel water.
Condensation Control
Condensation occurs in cold weather when warm humid air cools on contact with cold surfaces like external walls and windows and in places of poor air circulation such as corners, behind wardrobes and cupboards.
These are ideal conditions for black mould to grow and will grow rapidly if not addressed.
Solutions include:
· Consulting with homeowner/tenant on simple methods to reduce condensation/mould
· Use of Dehumidifiers
· Positive Input Ventilation
· Passive Vents
· Anti Mould Paint
· Specialist Cleaning Services
We pride ourselves in offering a prompt, efficient service and are always conscious of our customer’s needs.
Please feel free to contact us to discuss your individual needs and requirements.
