Hired Paul in June to fix our washing machine. Paid £335 for a motor that didn’t fix the issue. Months of delays, poor communication, and no clear plan. He supplied a temporary machine that was mouldy, badly installed, and faulty. After we bought a new washer, it was clear the problem was his machine. He repeatedly rescheduled collection and agreed to a £200 refund, which we never received despite escalating via Checkatrade. He couldn’t remedy our concerns, and decided to block us. I waited over two months for this tradesperson to fix appliance doors, but he missed two scheduled appointments without proper notice or follow-up—despite having collected the full payment upfront. I made every effort to accommodate him, but his lack of reliability and communication was unprofessional. I eventually had to request a refund.
