Booked for a sweep and CCTV survey for two flues we wanted to fit gas fires in… After 5 minutes of rough checks, Paul explained I should just have open fires (which ended up being dead wrong) & needed an expensive chemical sweep. Went into borderline disrespectful behaviour disturbing my other contractors, speaking in a different language with them to my face as I waited to hear his results. CCTV didn’t happen despite it being booked and got roped into paying for the sweep… which he didn’t do!Verified reviewerJob location: SW5 - PPete M

Extremely unprofessional, disrespectful and unreliable tradesperson. We paid £600 for two chemical treatments for tar removal, and he then failed to turn up on three occasions to finish the job, each time with no notice or explanation. We took time off work to fit around his schedule, and one of the three missed appointments was on a Sunday he had specifically arranged, which meant cancelling family plans. Reading other reviews, it seems our experience is not unique. There was no missed appointments the client did not respond and the same on the Sunday when after we texted and called he did not respond till late afternoon all works were completed to a high standard as all my reviews

The Chimney Sweep was established in Edinburgh in 1734 and is still family owned, we are now located in the south of England and serve Hampshire,Berks,Bucks,Surrey,Kent, Sussex,Oxford,and London
We are experienced and city and guilds trained chimney sweeps and all work is covered with full public liability insurance.
We offer the complete service from sweeping to CCTV surveys. All works are completed with legal certification and we also offer landlord certification for sweeping. We also offer power sweeping for those really tar-laiden chimneys.
Our service is clean and reliable, and all works are guaranteed to the highest standards.
Chemical tar and creosote removal from all types of flues, this also includes sweeping before and after application
Discounts are available for military and NHS staff and OAPs
We also do emergency call outs to remove birds and also unblock flues.
