  Avoid Paddick engineering! Extremely disappointing, unprofessional and incompetent.

  Avoid Paddick Engineering. Promised a 10-week turnaround - it took over 30 weeks and still failed. Applications were submitted incorrectly, causing repeated delays, and the final planning was refused due to poor drawings and lack of basic planning knowledge. Communication was unacceptable - ignored emails and even blocked my number. I later discovered they are not registered architects, which explains the poor quality of work. I lost significant time and money and received no proper compensation. Would not recommend! AVOID at all cost!

  Thank you for your review, Dr Khan. Several points raised do not reflect what took place. Drawings were signed off by you at each stage, and amendments turned around promptly. The refusal was an LPA determination, informal officer guidance is never binding, as is standard across the industry. Following the refusal, we continued to support you under Permitted Development, processed the agreed refund promptly, and clearly advised that your architect's design decisions were not PD compliant. That advice was declined. Paddick Engineering are design technicians, this was never misrepresented.

  Plans for a garage conversion.

  All was going well with just a few gripes regarding the communication- then the service fell off a cliff. Having had numerous failures to respond I called the council planning office direct to be told they had been waiting 8 weeks for a response from Paddick to a request and were about to cancel the application. I have now left 4 messages asking Ben to call me with no contact. I now fear I have lost almost £2000. I used Checkatrade because of the great reviews this company had but I note since 2026 the reviews have changed direction. I will ask Checkatrade to comment + update.
