  We called on James as my laptop screen had died, and our road WhatsApp group recommended him. He checked it out and confirmed it was indeed dead, and explained what the problem was very clearly. My husband's one was quite old and no longer receiving updates due to its age, so we agreed to replace them both at the same time. So about a week later James returned with 2 new laptops which he set up for us, and he managed to retrieve my files from the old laptop which was a relief. James explained everything to us very clearly, (I am useless with technology!) And was very patient when I needed

  Laptop service to fix overheating issues

  What went well: James rapidly assessed the issues that were causing the problem, explained them to me clearly and then fixed them very efficiently. He tested it to make sure the problem was fixed and offered me helpful advice on preserving the life of my (now fairly old) laptop. All from the comfort of my own kitchen! Price was very fair. What could have been better: a very minor quibble that it took a little while and a fair few WhatsApps to find a slot but I took that as a sign of (justified) popularity and busyness!

  Fixing printer

  I was very pleased with James. Very courteous & knowledgeable. Although late for coming he kept me informed along the way. The job not completely sorted but James on the case.

  Data recovery and build of bespoke pc

  Our pc just stopped working, we called in James. The pc was old and the software near to being out of support so we agreed that a new pc was the best approach. James managed to recover all our data and build us a bespoke pc which is ideal for our requirements. He is polite, articulate and did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it.

  New laptop and hacked email recovery

  We have used James for several years and most recently for providing a new laptop with Windows 11 and transferring all our data across. We required an upgraded laptop with a "D" drive or external D drive. James provided a new HP laptop with increased RAM memory and 1 TB storage for our music and fast processor, so it was a bespoke laptop to our specifications. More recently my email was hacked whilst I was abroad and communicating with James via WhatsApp, he told me how to check for "Rules" and delete them, then set up two step authenticity for accessing my emails as enhanced security.

  James was recommended to me and I, in turn, have no problem recommending him to others. He was thorough & efficient, explained everything clearly and was reasonably priced. I will have no hesitation in using his services again.
