    Great service from a lovely gentleman

    Nick was an absolute dream. Polite, professional and a font of knowledge when it comes to all things fireplaces. He used a drone to check the chimney and then carried out a sweep with zero mess. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using again.

    A straightforward, efficient and knowledgable professional

    Nick came to deliver a sweep & assess our multi fuel appliance with flue. Upon arrival he promptly identified it as an unsafe self-install which was against the Building Regs. After a full investigation Nick explained the situation in detail & offered advice on the next stage (removal or replacement). He promptly issued a well written and illustrated report, only charging nominal attendance fee. Notably aftercare was equally as good with follow-on advice freely given. It was a pleasure to meet this trustworthy & pleasant professional. A great local contact to retain & pass onto others.

    Cleaning chimney

    As well as cleaning chimney Nick fixes some things that had worked lose and left me with some c helpful advice. Clean, tidy, punctual I’ll be using Nick again.

    Nick came on time 7a.m. On the dot….he had all the most up to date equipment, and was very jovial particularly as we both watched him clean chimney very thoroughly! He then hoovered all the inside of the inglenook and the rug….FANTASTIC JOB….Couldnt fault it…..good price as well….Have recommended him and will have him back next year…Well done Nick and thanks for a perfect 10 out of. 10 job.

Nick Van Dyke is a professional traditional and thorough chimney sweep service based in central Surrey.


Repeat clients come back to us time and again because we believe in the '3 P's' of business being professional, polite and punctual. We are clean, tidy, considerate and respectful to our clients and their homes.

We understand working hours are not always Monday to Friday 9-5 so we tailor our traditional chimney sweeping service to suit our client’s availability and meet your requests.


We are conveniently situated between Guildford, Woking, and Dorking in Surrey so in easy reach of all the beautiful surrounding Surrey countryside as well as including west Sussex, north Hampshire, east Berkshire and parts of Middlesex *.


Regardless of whether you have a log burner, multi-fuel stove or traditional open fire, your chimney it will be swept clean from bottom to top using the most appropriate method, ensuring it is working at its most efficient and safest for you and your family.**

We provide a premium service of care and attention in everything we do, communicating openly and clearly with our clients every step of the way.


We are experienced in both traditional and power sweeping but have a clear preference for traditional sweeping methods honed over the years and constantly strive to improve our knowledge and training through continuous professional development. We certainly do not rest on our laurels and are keen to keep learning and adapting to new and emerging trends. Fully CiTB NVQ trade qualified, SFA approved as well as member of professional organisation, APICS.

We are also conversant with the extra requirements for thatched properties as well and hold certification of those standards.

Nick Van Dyke is fully insured and DBS cleared so you can rely on us to carry out our service in the most respectful and considerate manner.
