Contacted us prompting and work completed to a good standard

I called them during the day on a normal working day, about an internal pipe blockage under the sink. They only advised there would be a call out charge of £69 + vat (£82). They sent a different company to clear blockage with VERY VERY high hourly rate. They did not clear blockage but still charged me £451.80 for 1 hour! Terrible! Please avoid

I spoke to the phone operator briefly at 3:40 pm and stated we had an undetermined leak in the plumbing connected to our washing machine. She said they had a $95 call out fee and that they would send a plumber in 45-90 minutes. The hourly rate was not stated, nor the 10% administration fee or their policies on hourly rates. It also was not clear then that the plumber was a contractor. I was pressured to digitally sign a long email agreement on arrival at 6 pm. We were surprised at the cost (£896.50 to install a £9.19 part from Screwfix, which he left to pick up, around 1.5 hours work total).

He was very punctual and professional, explaining what he was doing along the way. A very good service.

The emergency work undertaken was of a good standard. I didn't however appreciate the admin cost of 10% added to to the total cost which was already high, given that it was a bank holiday so the hourly rate was high and there was of course an additional call out fee. The mark up on the required part was also significant. They were transparent in terms of the what the hourly rate and admin/call out charge would be, however when it is late afternoon on a bank holiday monday, your options are limited in terms of availability.
