1 Was I about to be ripped off?

Job location: RG30An ML guy came to my house to quote me for an armchair for replacing the foam on the seat of my nine year old DFS armchair and one seat of the settee. ( He was polite etc). There was no work to be carried on the fabric just the foam. I asked roughly what the cost would be he said about £400+VAT. I was amazed when the quote came back at £822. DFS have almost the exact same settee available for £930 Brand new. I very much feel like i was about to be ripped off. Why would anyone pay that amount.Response from ML Solutions Ltd
Thank you for your feedback. The review refers to 2 fitted seat interiors and 1 arm pad interior, our pricing also covers limited parking time, high parking charges safe waste disposal and skilled labour. We aim to provide a fair transparent service.
10 Sofa repair

Job location: SL4Dan, turned up on the day and carried out the 4 spring repair to the sofa. He was very good and knowledgeable about what he needed to do. Happy to have him again.
