  Cistern mechanism replacement

  They replaced the cistern mechanism, but didn't tell me that the new one wasn't adjustable (the old one was), and they left the water level fixed 3cm lower than it had been. This is important to me as I have had trouble in the past clearing the bowl and need the maximum disturbance to do so. Had they told me beforehand we could have sorted it, even if it meant fixing the level at where it had been (as marked on the tank). Also the flush, although it works, does not work as well as it used to, sometimes needing more than one attempt.

  Boiler servicing

  Mason has done many boiler services, power flushing and general plumbing in all of my rental properties. Always turns up on time, highly reliable and recommended. Wouldn’t use anyone else

  Toilet and sink repair

  Quoted £125 for toilet repair, £150 if doing input & output valve. £40 to replace sink pipes so £190 total. Guy came, replaced output valve, didn't mention input valve. Took tap off and it broke, need new tap,happy to pay more for the tap, did not have a tap. Asked me if I live alone - really weird then said I should get someone else to fit a tap so no extra callout. Charged me £190 and left me with no tap or pipes.

  We agreed that your going to buy a new tap and i'd return this week to install it which would be included in the £190 charged, Toilet Is Fixed. You asked if its hard to fit a tap so i asked if you live with anyone thats comfortable to install it?

  Repairs to leaking cistern

  MJH were prompt at getting in touch and very good in communicating to arrange a time and date. They confirmed that appointment the evening before and showed up on time. The work was completed quickly and tidily. All in all a really good experience!
