  Not just a free quote

  Had them out for a free quote to remove a wood burner and block up a fireplace. During the visit, the engineer offered to disconnect the burner, which I agreed to. No price was mentioned beforehand, and I was only told afterwards that there would be a £20 charge “to cover petrol”. I would not have agreed to this if the cost had been made clear in advance. This led to a drawn-out dispute over a very small amount, which felt unnecessary and frustrating. In the end, I paid simply to bring the matter to a close. Disappointed with how this was handled and wouldn’t use this company again.

  We attending Mr Dray property to survey to disconnect the stove however on inspection we saw that we could disconnect it straight away in which he agreed, he did not ask for a price beforehand and we would normally charge £90, once we carried out the job Mr Dray then asked how much it would be and as it was a quick and easy job we said we would charge him £20 to just cover the fuel, he asked us to send him an invoice which we did and then he refused to pay it

  Pipe dreams

  Mike's quote was very competitive compared to others in the same trade. He turned up on time for a site visit and both my wife and I concurred that he was very knowledgeable in his field and that the job would be completed to our satisfaction. We arranged a day, he turned up with everything he needed and fitted our new stove exactly as planned. We are both very happy with the result and would definitely recommend Mike to anybody who needs a stove and flue fitted. Just make sure you get the kettle on...he's partial to a cup of tea. Thanks MIke !

  Great guy!

  Mike was a legend! Fitted my wood burner in an afternoon. Perfect! He was great to chat with and fitted the burner, lit it to test it and cleared the work area brilliantly. Highly recommended.

  Very fast and professional, Mike removed my old gas fireplace and the surroundings, bricked up the hole and capped the chimney, all within a couple of hours. He was curteous and professional, confirming exactly what he'd do before starting, and respectful of my home. The communication before the job was all done online, which is great when you've got a hectic lifestyle!
