They were helpful, ‘human’ - offered practical advice and did everything they said they were going to do. Arrangements for picking up and dropping off the chest and for payment were easy and the finished article made me very happy indeed. An incredibly neglected and stained chest now looks glowing and in great shape. I like that they share the founding and background of the company on their website too. Miguel was very efficient, professional, friendly, polite and well educated in his trade. Miguels communication was excellent and always kept me updated on the progress of his work. I was over the moon when I got my bureau back, can not believe its the same piece of furniture. It was all wonky and broken, paint work was damaged and chipped, most people would have just binned it, but all thanks to Miguel I have a beautiful like new bureau in my favourite colour. Fantastic experience with this company - Miguel was really helpful and responsive to queries, desk was collected and returned in good time, and we are really pleased with the results. I was devastated when one leg of our Ercol daybed collapsed but Miguel came straight round to view the damage, gave us a very fair quote and came back to pick up the couch and another 3 chairs that needed fixing within 24 hours. The job itself was done and the furniture delivered back home within two weeks and they look lovely. Miguel picked up, restored, and delivered back our dining table within 72 hours for a very reasonable fee. The table had completely lost its clear finish after 10 years of heavy use. French polishing is a wood finishing technique which is used to protect and bring out the natural beauty of the wood. The material used for French polishing is called Shellac, the process for French polishing is very lengthy and repetitive, and would require the French Polisher to do this by hand, by pouring the French polish into a fad and thinned out with methylated spirits and boiled linseed oil to apply layer by layer, to mainly Post War and Antique Period Furniture and applied to many different types of Hardwoods such as Mahogany, Walnut or Oak.
