Our area of expertise is in residential energy performance certificates (EPCs), which are mandated by law in the UK if you are renting or selling a home, as well as Commercial EPCs (CEPC).
An energy performance certificate (EPC) evaluates the property's energy efficiency and identifies areas for improvement. It helps us all reduce our energy use, protects the environment, and is a terrific way to save money!
When a home is listed for sale or rent, an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) must be obtained within 28 days and remains valid for ten years. After ten years or if the home experiences certain changes, such as, new double glazing boiler or heating system, or improvements to the roof, walls, or floors, a reassessment will be required.
It’s legally required for landlords renting properties, covering checks on boilers, pipes, and flues to prevent risks like gas leaks or carbon monoxide poisoning.
An EICR assesses the safety of a UK property's electrical systems, identifying faults or risks like shock or fire hazards.
Legally required for rented properties every 5 years or at tenancy change, it ensures installations meet safety standards and recommends necessary repairs or upgrades.
