We asked Matt to construct a new stud wall to add a new bedroom space to our property. The wall was to have slatted wood cladding on one side, and a concealed door, with the other side plastered. A relatively straightforward job, but the ends of the wall needed to be carefully fitted to the jagged edges of our old house. We are really pleased with the work. Matt is great to deal with - an experienced, reliable builder who knows what he's doing. Helped out with a couple of other random requests too - including sawing a table in half! Very happy to recommend.

Matt did a great job refurbishing a dingy basement flat into a bright welcoming place. He painstakingly transformed a small chaotic bathroom - removed tiles; created proper access points and tiled/painted whole room - all with a smile. Great advice re:damp and drainage problems.

Matt stepped in at very short notice to remove my old kitchen and get the new kitchen up and running. He goes far beyond the expected with common sense and good humour. The project turned out to be more complex than originally thought as we discovered damp in the exterior walls; Matt was consistently practical, reliable and calm under pressure and happy to offer advice and suggest alternatives as the project developed and changed direction. His team are equally competent and very professional. I will be asking MHP to quote on further interior and exterior work to my house in 2022.
