Good attention to detail, reliable and accommodating a tight schedule.

Derek carried out this work for us recently. He stripped the existing roof which was in a very poor state, solved some unexpected problems on the way. He the changed the pitch to a better one for the tiles and installed the new roof. To my untrained eye the quality looks excellent and we are very pleased with the results. Derek was courteous and professional throughout, keeping us informed at each stage helping us feel confident about the work. We works happily use him again if we have any more roofing work and will recommend him for this.

Derek repaired a badly deteriorated flat roof including the rotten timber and some tiles above it. He was friendly, polite and knowledgeable, coping with unexpected issues along the way. In fact, the only thing that stopped him was when the tiles were all frozen in place!! All in all, a breath of fresh air in times when good, trustworthy traders can be hard to find. I have no hesitation in recommending him and would certainly use him again.

Derek replaced our roof. From start to finish he answered all our questions, at each step explaining the process. He also went the extra mile to remedy and deal with any problems that occured in a friendly efficient way. He was also a very nice person. Having done some work for us about 3 years ago, we asked Derek McCormack to come re a different problem - which he did very quickly. We had noticed fabric appearing at the edge of roof tile - which might have been the result of recent very torrential rain. However, after inspection and resetting tile, the diagnosis was that it looked like squirrels or similar vermin, probably trying to make a nest! Will keep a watch on it!

We noticed damp gradually appearing in the corner of our lounge area but couldn't identify how the water was getting through on our flatfoot. Derek was able to spot the issue quickly and repaired the area efficiently. We have used McCormack roofing several times and have always been satisfied with their work and professionalism.
