    Gas boiler decommission and replacement - great experience

    Job involved removal of conventional boiler in kitchen, and replacement with a combo boiler on first floor together with Hive hub, thermostat and controller. All old installation including tanks removed. The team arrived bang on time and were very polite and helpful. Quite a lot of disruptive work was involved (lifting carpets & floors to re-route gas piping, removal of old tanks etc) but this was done with a minimum of fuss and bother, and everything was back to normal within two working days - the new system runs perfectly. Absolutely delighted, I would definitely recommend Marshall Gas.

    Boiler repair

    Steve arrived at the time agreed. This was the result of a panicked phone call earlier that day as the boiler had broken down after some building work. Having a disabled household meant emergency attention was needed. Steve was calm and self assured. He identified the issue immediately and effected a fix right there. Such as pleasure to have a gas engineer who is knowledgeable, cares for the client and is extremely courteous. Our previous experience was with a national company where you never knew who was going to turn up to fix a problem. Outstanding customer service. Thanks so much!

    Emergency boiler service

    We were very distressed about the last minute call when boiler suddenly has stopped working. Couldn't ask for more when Steve / Marshall Gas Ltd representative has arrived. Reliable and excellent service provided. Highly recommend.

    Boiler fault

    Called them out to get a quote to get the boiler repaired. The boiler is only 7 years old and has been maintained accordingly every year. Got charged for the call out and they recommend to have it fixed by the manufacture directly as it would be cheaper. Wouldn't recommend at all as the manufacturer standard charge is 355£ + VAT and I have already paid for the call out and now I will have to call another company to get it fixed.

    Thank you for taking the time to review us, an explained our time and fault finding isn’t for free. We explained we could fix it but if another part would fail it may cost you more and a return visit and additional labour costs. We are always transparent.

What's Included

When servicing your boiler we will start with a visual review of its installation to ensure its positioning complies with current regulations and standards. All our servicing engineers are Gas Safe registered and are trained to recognise any issues that may give cause for concern. We will always give you honest advice.

The next step is to check the basic operation of your boiler to check for any potential faults. The boiler casing will be removed and the main working components of your boiler checked and tested. This stage will also include a check to ensure there is no blockage in the flue. If any damaged or faulty components are identified by our engineer you will be advised, and a quotation will be given in respect of any additional costs that will be incurred for the repair or replacement of said components in order to ensure the on-going safety of your boiler.

The final step before issuing the service report is a gas tightness test to ensure there are no leaks.

We aim to complete a boiler service within 45 minutes however if damaged/faulty components are found during the service additional time or a return visit may be necessary
