  Oil-fired boiler installation

  Huge thanks to Lee and Michael, who recently installed a replacement oil-fired boiler and water tank for us. The work required remediation of multiple issues relating to the old installation, esp with the underfloor heating, which presented lots of challenges. I am happy we now have a properly installed heating system that is operating efficiently and safely. LVG Heating has been professional throughout, with detailed estimates/workplans at each stage. They are knowledgeable and experienced heating engineers and I will not hesitate to use again for either servicing or new work.

  I have several properties in the area and have worked with Lee for 3-4 years. He does an excellent job from complete bathrooms to boilers and gas safety certificates. No job is too much trouble! He is always on time and is always very polite to my tenants. I would recommend him to anyone!

  Urgent call out.

  I called Lee out to a issue of mine regarding a waste pipe for a washing machine not getting rid of water causing my kitchen to flood....he responded very quickly and attend my property within 2 hours. He was very polite and made sure he wore overshoes in my new build property. Lee managed to six the issue and secured the pipe better with no issues and couldn't be more thankful. Would definitely call him again if any plumbing works was needed.

  Prompt and helpful.

  I had been let down by a builder, who had his own plumber, who had misconnected the hot and cold water feed, rendering my water system inoperable. I had air in the system, it had knocked out my boiler. Thank goodness it wasn't too cold. After trying to find a plumber at short notice, Lee came out the same day, after normal hours, identified that the builder had infact crossed the hot and cold feed, changed it back and got the air out of our system and the boiler going. Pricing was transparent and not expensive. I'd highly recommend LVG.

  Oh dear.

  Within 15 minutes or so of the annual oil boiler service starting, the trader told me that it had broken down, and couldn’t be repaired. It was working fine prior to the trader arriving. The trader said I’ll only charge you £115 instead of the normal £170. I said I’m not going to pay anything as the system was working fine before you came, and now isn’t working. He repeated that it can’t be repaired and that a new system was required. A few days later, his quote arrived, for £4,700. I contacted an alternative company who arrived the same day and fixed the system within ten minutes. All ok now.

  Actually this is not quite true. As the boiler wasn’t even on the day we turned up. After servicing the boiler we noticed it wouldn’t fire up. But in all fairness it is a 40 year old oil boiler. So we ask if he wanted a repair or replacement and asked us to send across both quotes. Then refused payment as he said the boiler was working before we came

  Heating stuck on

  Lee was very knowledgeable, punctual and courteous. He diagnosed and replaced a faulty motor in an actuator which completely resolved the issue first time. That they managed to fit rhe job in such short notice was commendaabme - the time between posting the job and full resolution was less than half a day. I gladly recommend LGV's services.
