  Jonathan was polite and professional from estimate to completion of the project. He was able to undertake my job at short notice and able to adapt the request mid stream, adding coving to two rooms.

  Poor communication & aftercare

  Full ceiling plastering of staircase and three bedrooms. While much of the work is good, we were disappointed with poor scheduling, communication, and reluctance to address issues afterwards. Delays meant our time out of the house was wasted, and short working days prolonged disruption. After completion, we raised concerns about cracks and an uneven staircase ceiling edge; responses were defensive and then ceased entirely. A small fix and better communication would have resolved this. We advise thoroughly checking work before completion, as follow-up may be difficult.

  I'm disappointed to read this as it doesn’t reflect the situation. At completion, you confirmed you were happy with the work. The issue raised occurred after paper beading was removed, which can damage a clean edge and is outside my work. I asked for a video to assess this, which was sent three months later. I was on other jobs and couldn’t respond immediately, especially with repeated calls. I take pride in my work, reflected in 180+ positive reviews over 10+ years, and this is not typical of my service.

  Artex Ceilings Smoothed

  I had all my artex ceilings smoothed over downstairs. Jonathan always turned up when he said he would and just got on with the job. He was friendly and polite and always tidied up after himself. Competitively priced and quality workmanship, I would definitely recommend and I will definitely be using JD Plastering again for my future jobs. The finish was excellent, super smooth and I am really happy with the result. Exactly how I hoped it would look. 10/10
