  Painting of house.

  To be fair the communication throughout the job was pretty good, although a little too much at the end when he wanted payment. Job was to a good standard, although had to come back 3 times to finish off (on my request not his) And I originally asked for the guttering to be done too in which he said he couldn’t do half way through the painting job. Overall: Good

  Thank you for your feedback, Daniel. I’m glad to hear you were happy with the overall standard of the work. I would like to clarify a few points for accuracy. The return visits were agreed mutually — not due to issues with the finish, but because the scaffolding had been positioned too close to the walls, preventing access to some areas. Once this was resolved, I returned to complete those sections at no extra charge. Regarding payment, I did have to follow up several times for confirmation, as there were delays in receiving it. As for the guttering, I explained early on that it couldn’t be repaired due to the condition of the wood, and I provided contact details for suitable tradespeople. This item was removed from the quote, and I also applied a substantial discount of around £500, in addition to personally covering roughly £300 for two extra weeks of scaffolding rental. I always strive to deliver a high standard of work and fair service, and I feel this review doesn’t fully reflect the effort and goodwill provided throughout the project.   Unorthodox Method, Job Unfinished.

  I employed Joe to paint the exterior of our house, walls, timber window frames and stone sills. His approach is unorthodox, he starts by painting the unprepared surface and only if the result is unsatisfactory to the client will he then undertake sanding , filling and repainting, which he does willingly. Joe also has the view that one coat of good paint ( which he uses) is enough. That isn’t always the case, as I’ve just had to repaint some of my sills after 3 months. I made the mistake of allowing Joe to leave site with a small part of the job still unfinished. I haven’t seen him since.

  I had the hallway walls, door frames, doors, skirtings and ceilings painted on my 3 story town house which Joe cam personally round to view and quote for. Joe is a very pleasant and professional person, he delivered the job to time and kept me well communicated through out. Would highly recommend.

  5star painter!!! Quality workmanship.

  Absolutely fantastic!! Jo was very thorough and knowledgeable. We have had problems with our downstairs bathroom but he knew exactly how to solve the problem and we’ve had no problems with it. Excellent finish. My husband runs his own carpentry and building business and he was very impressed with the quality of Jo’s work. Jo is very polite and lovely to talk to. It was a joy having him in our home for a few weeks. We can’t thank him enough!

  Kitchen, Utility Room & Bathroom

  Had Joe in to paint our kitchen, utility room, and downstairs bathroom – and he did a fantastic job. The finish is spot on, but what really stood out was his communication throughout – easily the best I’ve experienced. Would highly recommend!
