  Excellent and efficient - highly recommended

  We recently hired Ian from IH Builder to repair a coping stone on a high wall on our house, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Ian did an excellent job — the work was carried out to a high standard and completed efficiently. His pricing was very reasonable, offering great value for the quality of work delivered. Ian was professional throughout and we felt confident in his abilities from start to finish. We would definitely recommend IH Builder to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled tradesman, and we will not hesitate to use Ian again in the future.

  Ian quoted £350/day plus materials to replace a lintel, but upon arrival—and before a close inspection—he downgraded the work to basic mortaring and painting. Despite the easy scaffold access, the quality was unprofessional: paint was dripped everywhere, a large splodge was left as a messy smudge, and he painted over the fresh mortar after only 1.5 hours. Visible cracks remain, suggesting the underlying issue wasn't addressed. Furthermore, he attempted to charge for a full day despite working only 3–3.5 hours.

  Repairing a Worn Lintel

  Very grateful to Ian for taking on a job deemed too small by everyone else! The lintel above my back door was slowly letting water into my kitchen and he came round to have a look. A few days later he was back to repair it and then again to paint it and also replaster the little damp section inside. Ian is friendly, professional and courteous - I 100% recommend him and will be contacting him for some future jobs! Thanks Ian!
